Miss World Philippines 2011: A Glimpse of their Natural Colors

Miss World hopefuls had their first workshop on fine dining last August 22 at the Manila Hotel. It was fun watching them as some of them did not even know how to hold a wine glass. Indeed there is more to these ladies than meets the eye and each one of them is a gem in their own right. Those who struggled with their wine glass and utensils were the best people to watch; not for anything untowardly but because their resolve to learn was amazing.  Truly befitting the title, but alas, only one of them can become the Miss World.

Then there was the make-up session. The contestants were discouraged from bringing their own make-up artists because they needed to know how to paint their own faces. Though the food was excellent, they were not as interested in it as in the rouge to come. Questions flew from all over the room as the enthusiasm kept everyone abuzz. It was all about the perfect look. Pouty lips, slim looks, heavy make-up, natural look, experts were agog with questions, answer and clashing opinions. Overall, it was a fun experience and newly learned hints for both makeup artists and the contestants.
